4 TV Shows Guaranteed to Boost Your Mood

We all need a little pick me up here and there. When I need to laugh, I always turn on the TV and watch my favorite comedy shows. Most of these shows can be found on Netflix and Hulu so make an account and get watching!

1. The Office (Netflix)

This is always a go-to show for me and a lot of other people I know. The jokes and endless humor never fail to make me smile. If you haven’t watched it, don’t be surprised by its nine seasons. In my opinion, the best seasons are 1 through 7. They hold all the classic and popular episodes that have the absolute best scenes. One of my favorite episodes is “Dinner Party” from season four. It’s full of nonsense humor and even more second-hand embarrassment than normal for Michael Scott. It’s like you’re at the dinner party with the characters witnessing everything that’s happening. Check out the bloopers for this episode too; it makes watching the actual episode even more funny. I’ve been watching this show for a while now, since my family loved it and watched it while it still aired.

2. Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Hulu)

If The Office were to have a sibling show, this would be it. However, the humor is a bit different in that it’s more stupid (in the best way possible) and random. Also, instead of a paper company like in The Office, it takes place in a Brooklyn police station. It’s definitely a good late-night show to watch with some friends. One of my favorite episodes is “The Jimmy Jab Games” and just like “Dinner Party” from The Office, it’s packed with nonsense humor. I’m always entertained by random episodes like that.

3. Friends (Netflix)

This is a classic and popular sitcom made for anybody and everybody to watch. Following the journeys of six friends throughout ten seasons makes Friends the perfect binge-watching show. I’ve watched the entire series about three times and the episodes don’t get boring. If you want another late-night show to watch with some friends (get it?), pick this one! One episode that I always watch is “The One with the Embryos.” Chandler and Joey go against Monica and Rachel in a game of trivia questions about each other to hopefully trade apartments. The scenes with all of them playing the game always makes me laugh and the acting is awesome.

4. Whose Line is it Anyway?

This show has been on TV for years! If you haven’t heard of it or haven’t seen any episodes, there’s a ton of videos on YouTube. The show is surprisingly still airing on TV and never fails to make me laugh until I cry. It involves several improv games where the actors and comedians on the show must come up with whatever comes to their minds based on the game. The improv is always so impressive! The episodes are pretty short and every one of them is worth watching. Grab some popcorn and get ready to laugh!

These are all pretty popular shows, but they are my absolute favorite comedies. Take your pick when you have some free time! What are your favorite comedy TV shows?
